When distance makes me a little more mature

Blessed Chinese New Year

I miss my family very much. They're probably having a time of their life - eating, visiting, eating, laughing, eating, collecting ang pow, eating... ;) Yeah. What's Chinese New Year without the food. Haha... :) Unfortunately, there's no public holiday in Victoria for Chinese New Year. That's one thing I miss about Malaysia. We have tons of public holidays ;) Haha...

Well, even though I'm not there to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family, I decided to host my own Chinese New Year party :) So, I invited a couple of close friends over to my place to celebrate Chinese New Year with me. We're going to have fun this Saturday :) I really can't wait for Saturday. It's going to be amazing.

This year, Chinese New Year is more than oranges, food, and ang pows. I realized that Chinese New Year is about family. It's about appreciating my family and their love towards me. It's amazing how being far away from home made me learned more important lessons in each and every celebration, festival, event, day, etc. Maybe this is what maturity is all about... who knows.
