So, although I missed this year's Chinese New Year celebration back home, I managed to host a CNY dinner at my place with a couple of my closest friends. To me, they're like my family :)
So, amazingly, we all (11 girls) managed to fit into my room. I prepared some Malaysian food for dinner - my mum's fried noodles and Nasi Lemak with curry chicken! :) I also made tapioca baked cake and chocolate chip cookies. God totally multiplied the food because there were leftovers :) Miracles do happen :)
Anyhow, we all had a good time eating and hanging out. This gathering was so SPECIAL to me (and to the others too) because we were all able to gather together at a place. Very rare ;) It was so amazing to just have all my friends gathering together and having a good time sharing stories and laughing to our heart's content. I am probably the happiest person on earth last night... :D What more can you ask for? Friends sharing CNY with you... that is totally awesome. All the effort and time and money spent for this night were nothing compared to the memory, love, and laughter I received from my friends. This night made me feel so special, so loved and appreciated :) I still remember what a friend of mine told me: "God has a plan and purpose as to why you are here; and it will be apparent to you soon". She's so right. God has a plan for me here in Canada. I truly believe that it worth every cent my dad pays for my education here :) Truly all praise to God for everything.
So, I have some pictures to share with you... :)

Dinner :)

Friends and food :)

Waiting in line...

Margaret and Alison :)

Friends talking....

More story telling time :)

Even more stories and laughter

Part of the food we had... I forgot to take pictures of the food I cooked :) Haha...

Oranges :) A must have during CNY

Ang pows.. another must have during CNY... (This is what I look for during CNY! HAHA...)

Little gift packs for friends... My mum would always give something to the host's; and they would return the "favor". So, I did the same :)

We dressed exactly alike - red top, white skirt :) Sweet!
This is Elisabeth and myself.

This is the best picture of the day :) My friend Christine and I. Special CNY for us :)

Georgia and I

This pretty, pretty bouquet of flowers... Georgia gave them to me! :) It was funny because I was doing some grocery that morning and was thinking that I should get some flowers for fun... :) I've always love and dream that someone would give me flowers! Haha... Anyhow, Georgia came early to help me out and she came in with the flowers and a note in hand! :D Haha... Made me feel so special and loved. Thank you Georgia! :)

Group picture :) We have to have a group picture taken... :) My family in Victoria :) I hope one day my family will be able to meet them... My mum and dad are really grateful to them for everything.

Group shot 2 :)

Group shot 3 Haha...

Owh, and this parcel I received, it was from my parents. And the amazing part was it arrived on Saturday. Probably the bestest CNY ever. A parcel from back home and a CNY dinner at night. My mum said: "God totally planned it all - that the parcel would arrive just in time for my CNY" How amazing eh? Thank you Lord :)
[Yeah... filled with home goodies; plus a surprise]

This was the surprise... the dress! :) Sweet ain't it? Haha... I was so excited... And so, Georgia and I had this trying on clothes session... haha... We found out that we actually were about the same size. :) I love how she looks so beautiful in the dress...

:)

Georgia tried on my baju kurung and she looks stunning in it...

Looks even better in the kebaya. She ended up wearing it for the night :)

So, my day was extremely amazing :)
