Test me in this...

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
Malachi 3:10

This verse is really POWERFUL because it talks about tithing; and God's wonderful promise of abundant blessing.

Why, you may wonder, am I sharing this verse. Pretty simple: Canada's currency is really "strong" right now; and USD is not that "strong". Current exchange rate is:

1.00 CAD = 3.51945 MYR

1.00 USD = 3.34102 MYR

Check out the difference. ;p
Well, as you have suspected, I panicked and was seriously WORRIED when I saw these "amazing" figures. Who doesn't?

When I decided to study in Canada, the exchange rate was way lower. Well, guess not... However, despite this all, I am reminded of that verse. God is reminding me to be FAITHFUL in everything; including my TITHING; because if I'm faithful to God, He says in His Word that Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
I find this really AMAZING! God will throw open the floodgates of heaven; and pour out so much BLESSING (in other words, financial providence); and I will NOT have room ENOUGH for it! Wow! I find this really comforting.
[Note: This does not mean I can spend lavishly.]

To top this up, I was chatting with my dad and I was telling him about the exchange rate and all, and he told me this: [...] don't worry. Just study hard; and we'll provide the necessary funding.
Wow! I was overwhelmed. It showed to me that:
- my dad LOVES me so much that he is willing to sacrifice his savings just for my education
- my dad trusts in God wholeheartedly for provision

I'm really blessed with an amazing and loving earthly daddy and an awesome Heavenly Father.

With all this said and done, I'm really motivated to study hard to show my dad that whatever he has invested into my education is not wasted; and that I'll graduate with excellent results.

"Lord, Your Faithfulness reaches to the sky..."

Hi Rachelle!

I hope you are having an awesome reading break!! :D

I know exactly what you are talking about when you say God is a provider! Keep trusting in Him and holding on tight and He is going to meet all of your needs- and not just your financial ones either! :D :D God is pretty much amazing that way!

See you soon...
