Today is my first day "cooking" at my new house. In the morning, I had cereals and a cup of juice. Then my grandaunt took me to the bank to open a bank account. Guess what? I could not open one because they need a proof that I'm a student and that I have a place to stay! So yeah, I was sent home! Haha... Then, I decided to familiarize myself with the bus and the route to university as well as the university itself. So, with prayers and directions from my housemate, I started out. I had to walk down a hill, walk some more, cross a road, walk up a hill and then only did I reach the bus stop. It's about 15-20 minutes walk. Then, I'm to take the BUS 14 to my university. Guess what? I was waiting for the bus on the wrong side of he road, so I took the right bus, but going the other direction! Haha... So funny! It was went I was at Downtown that I realized I was on the right bus, going the other direction! Lolz.... Guess where I ended up? The Victoria General Hospital! which was like at the end of the route! Lolz... However, thank God that the bus driver was really, really helpful and nice. He helped me out, explaining the bus system and how to get about. =] He was really, really nice, and I really thank God for all his help. =]
So, at the end of the day, I managed to get some sight seeing done. =] At least now I know I can get to Downtown with BUS 14. =]
Anyway, I safely arrived at UVic. Thank God for that. =] I asked the bus driver on how to use the bus transit - which he gave me when I firs came into the bus, and he explained it to me. Then, because the transit has already expired, he kindly gave me a new one!!! I was like, ??? Like, om gosh! Thank God for that!!! I mean, it's really a blessing! =] So, with that new transit, it save me $2.25!!! =]
So yeah, I toured my campus for a while, which I also got lost! Lolz... Hopefully tomorrow when I go for orientation, I won't get lost! Hehe...
That's my experience today. Oh, plus, today was my first day preparing lunch and dinner at my new place. For lunch, I had bagels with butter and cheese, 2 grilled chicken drumsticks, and maggi! (maggi was because I was missing home alot)... As for dinner, I had 1 grilled chicken drumstick, bagels with butter and cheese and a pizza. =]
Well, I'm going to retire for the night soon because I need to wak up early for orientation, as well as to prepare to walk ALOT! =p
