"Congratulations on your admission to the University of Victoria"
It's a letter from the Student Recruitment Office. The letter was sent by an international student who would be my so-called 'guide' from now until I reach UVic. So, I can ask him any questions that I have. Oh well, I indeed have LOTs of questions to ask. =D
Moving on, I came up for myself a term: Officially a Historian, Sociologist, Researcher. This week is one hectic week. I had to prepare for a Sociology presentation on old age (I'm an "expert" on old people now); prepare Interview questions for my English Research Paper; and study 2 kinds of History for my Midterms: American History and World Civilization. =) Although it looks and sounds kind of depressing and stressful and all, I'm embracing all with a positive attitude. =) Come to think of it, I find it enjoyable! (*blink eyes* can't believe I just said that) Hehe...
Oh, an interesting thing: my high school teacher sms-ed me. I felt really touched! My teacher thought of me. I immediately called her. Both of us were excited to hear from each other. =) I could hear from her voice how happy she was to hear my voice and to know that I'm doing well. She said, "Cikgu gembira la dengar Rachelle ok kat KL. Dah lama tak dengar dari kamu. Pasti sibuk kan. Tapi sekarang kamu call cikgu, tahu la cikgu kamu ok." [not exactly like that, but it means that] So yeah, after talking to her for about 10 minutes, I felt a lot happier. =) That little sms made my day a little brighter knowing that someone thinks and cares about me so much - not she's only my teacher, not related. However, to me, she's like my mother. I've grown to love my high school teachers and they've taught me so much. =) They're the BEST teachers! =) I heart them!
God is good and each day is filled with little
surprises... It's like little gifts He places in our hands; little in nature,
but gives out outrageous joy - joy that we cannot contain because it overflows.
=)
