When God Calls

"This is the one I esteem:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit,
and trembles at my word."

Isaiah 66:2

I realized when God calls someone, He will do whatever it takes to make the calling come to past. I was reminded of what a friend of mine wrote to me once... She shared with me how God called prophet Jeremiah - and when God called him, he was a young man. In Jeremiah 1:5, it says:
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

When God calls, we have to be humble and obedient and listen to His voice. This is something I have learned. And I truly am convinced right now that God is calling me... No, I don't know where He will lead me, nor do I know what He wants me to do, nor what lies ahead of me. But I know one thing for sure: I know I can depend on Him, and like the apostle Paul said: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Nothing is more worthy than living for Christ and making Him known. God is searching for people who will say "yes" to Him. And I believe God is raising young people right now to accomplish His work.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

And that is my heart's desire... Send me, Lord.
