I probably would have had told the whole universe about the awesome weekend I had ;) Haha...
I had a blast! I think last weekend was the B-E-S-T ever. Christine hosted 2 events - knitting on Saturday and Dutch Blitz on Sunday. And I sort of "invited" myself to sleepover at their (Christine's, Georgia's, and Ruth's) place :)
Saturday
Georgia had me over for dinner. We had lentil goop and rice and coleslaw salad, and I must say that the lentil goop was so good. I had like second helpings! ;)
Georgia and I managed to have some fellowship in the afternoon, and it was good. We shared about our week, read the Bible and prayed. Owh, and we had a super time trying on dresses (part 2) This time, I tried on her dresses! ;) Hehe...
As for knitting, I totally had fun knitting with Christine, Georgia and Emily. The company of friends make all the difference :)
I decided to crash in Georgia's room :D In the course of us talking and sharing, we found out how similar we are :) I really treasured that night because it's really special to me :)
Sunday
We all went to church; and I got back just in time for Dutch Blitz!!! Before I move on, church was amazing! I seriously knew that God had a message for me the moment my Pastor stood up and read the passage for the day. It was Zephaniah 3; and it struck me because Georgia shared that same passage with me about1 or 2 weeks ago. And indeed God had a message for me. My Pastor preached about "Jesus, My Faithful One". He shared about having a friendship with God and what it means. Having a friendship with God means we have GRACE, GUIDANCE, and COMPANIONSHIP. And he emphasize on how much God LOVES us; and that really touched me. God LOVES me for who I am. HE LOVES ME! Nothing can change that. A simple "God Loves You" changed me that day.
And my Pastor also shared an acrostic with us. Having friendship with God is: learning to be STILL before God.
S - Save you (God sent Jesus to save us)
T - Time to know Jesus (we must take time to know Jesus just like how we would take time to get to know a friend)
I - Include Him (we should include God in everything that we do)
L - Let Him wash over you
L - Love people (Freely we receive, freely we give)
I came out of church feeling so loved and I knew that I should be loving others too; and what better way than to say "I Love You" to Christine, Georgia and Ruth for allowing me to stay over at their place :)
As for Dutch Blitz, it was a really great game!!! I never knew it'd be so fun, exciting, and "nerve wreaking" Haha... It kept me in suspension per say... Haha... ;p We all had fun that afternoon with Dutch Blitz. [I totally have to play again some time]
Anyhow, after Dutch Blitz, we (Georgia, Christine and I) decided to go for a walk because it was such a beautiful Sunday. Georgia and I went for a walk; and Christine went to hike up Mount Doug ;p
We had a really good time :) I will indeed miss Victoria when it comes time for me to return home because home, I live in a city; and I surely will not find trials in the city. Plus, I wouldn't want to go for walks when the temperature is way too hot.
Well, I thought of going home after the walk, but Georgia and Christine asked if I'd like to stay for dinner. I was sure up for it! :) [if my mum was there, she'd probably give me a look, thinking what on earth am I thinking inviting myself to stay for dinner]
After a wonderful meal, I thought of going home, but they asked if I'd like to stay and watch Mulan with them. Again I said yes [probably by this time my mum would have "fainted" because I happily "invited" myself to stay longer. Haha... Just in case you're wondering why, I was taught/brought up to not "trouble" other people] After watching Mulan, I knew it was time for me to pack and take the bus home. :)
It was the best weekend ever; and Georgia and Christine, THANK YOU for having me over on Saturday and Sunday. THANK YOU for making me feel at home (Chez Ugly is my second home! Hehe) and THANK YOU for your company. :D The weekend was really special to me and I want you to know that I will treasure all of our times together. Looking forward to such weekends in the future! I love the both of you lots! HUGS!
[PS: next time, maybe we can have sleepovers at my place! ;D]

ha ha! i laughed a lot at what your mum would say. i'm sure my mum would think the same thing if it were me but in any case i am completely desensitized to certain ways of being polite and tend to just say what i think most of the time. and so i/we really did want you to stay and hang out and have dinner and watch mulan!! it was such an awesome weekend and i'm glad you enjoyed it too. have a good reading break rachelle!!
Hehe... ;) I guess our mums are similar eh? We sure do share some similarities...
I'm so glad you invited me to stay. It's always nice to have yours, Georgia's and Ruth's company... :)
Have a good Reading Break too.
