Love and Relationships

Today has been a really interesting day.
I am really convinced that God is teaching me more and more about relationships. Lesson to be learned today is "What Matters Most". Rick Warren states that life is all about LOVE. God is love, and He wants you and I to learn how to love. Love should be our top priority. Love is the most important part in our lives.

THE BEST USE OF LIFE IS LOVE
i. Life without love is really worthless
- Often we act as if relationships are something to be squeezed into our schedule. We talk about finding time for our children or making time for people in our lives. (Rick Warren) - Eeek, how many times have I been guilty of this...
- Busyness is a great enemy of relationships.
Life minus love equals zero

ii. Love will last forever
- Love leaves a legacy.
- Relationships are what life is all about.

iii. We will be evaluated on our love
- I really like this prayer:
"God, whether I get anything else done today, I want to make sure that I spend time loving you and loving other people - because that's what life is all about. I don't want to waste this day."

THE BEST EXPRESSION OF LOVE IS TIME
Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is "T-I-M-E".

I've been reevaluating my priorities; and I am and will ensure that I will not just squeeze in time for friends; but rather give them my time. I think there is still so much more that God wants to teach me about relationships. I am definitely looking forward to that, no matter how difficult it may be.

Apart from that, I've been reminiscing about my time at MAC (Missions Adventure Camp) - organized by YWAM Sabah. I really want to do DTS with YWAM after I graduate. And I probably will want to devote my time to YWAM Malaysia. I have had dreams of doing YWAM in Australia or even in Canada; but I think God is calling me back home. It's like there's this sense of urgency. God is going to do something great back home...
Georgia sent me an article yesterday; and while reading it, it evoked a strong desire and a strong stir in my heart for my country. How many people have told me that with my major, I may not find a good and secure job back home. But that's NOT my mission or goal. I see home as a harvest field - so ripe and ready; and with whatever degree I get, I believe God will work wonders with that. I'm not concern with high paying job. I'm not that person - I don't see myself working 9-5, earning $$$, and wearing a business suit, no, that's no me. I'd be content being out there - establishing lasting relationships and loving people and doing things that will make a difference in others - now that is me. I have big dreams, and those who are close to me will know that :)
With all that said, right now, I want to invest my time and life in relationships, and loving each one out there just like Jesus did.
