A Sign of Maturity

We have been talking a lot about discipleship, mentorship, and servanthood in IVCF. Last night's devotion was really uplifting and I'd like to share it with you.

A Sign of Maturity
Do you have a servant attitude? It's hard at times, isn't it? But we're called to serve one another. The apostle Paul reminds us f this in Galatians 5: "For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another" (v. 13-14). Having a servant attitude is a sure sign of maturity.

Our service to others glorifies God. It reflects the love He's given to us and to the world, encouraging people in our spheres of influence to seek Him too. This simple and noble assignment to be loving servants comes from God and reaps rich rewards!

Father, help me keep my ego in check and focus on the needs of others. I want people to feel my love and know it comes from You. I want to be a light that draws people to You. Amen.
