LEAD Retreat

Yes, it has been a few days since I last wrote anything here. Well, I was off to a camp during the weekend. It's the LEAD Retreat for ECA leaders at Dusun Eco Resort, Pahang. The camp was held from Friday to Sunday. However, I could not make it on Friday as I had an interview to conduct. Thankfully, Mr. Esmond (person in charge) was so kind as he was able to find me a way to go for the retreat on Saturday. =) I was really thankful he did it as I really enjoyed myself.



On Saturday, I left Subang at around 9.30am and headed to the place. We took about an hour and a half to reach to the place. By the time I reached, the session that was ongoing was about to end. I kinda made a grand entrance la... haha... Last camper to arrive. Hehe... =p (Well, better late than never right?) However, being late sometimes do have its benefits too... First, I was given the choice to be in any group I want... =) Hehe... I chose to join Fiona's group and what a pleasant surprise... I found out that Tiffany and Sze Ming were in the same group too. =) The other members were from TBS. That afternoon, we had a stimulation game where we had to put into practice what we've learnt from the sessions (And I did not attend any of the sessions, so I just followed orders). But, as the game went on, I got a grasp of what I was to do, and things went on smoothly. I really enjoyed myself although at the end of the game, I was so tired. Later at night, we had another session of games. This was a more relaxing one, but we still had to use our brains to think...



On Sunday morning, we had Obstacle course to complete! My favorite part! I was waiting for this session for a long time... Hehe... Anyway, I had a fun time going through the course. =) It has been a long time since I did an obstacle course. One part which I'll never forget is the part where I had to cross 8 tyres hanging on ropes. When I tried to do it, I managed to cross 2 tyres and on the 3rd one, I was stuck because I was tired and fearful. So I hung unto the rope and tyre and while turning around around on the tyre, engaged in a conversation with Ryan and Mr. Esmond:
R: I'm stuck, I can't go on.
Ryand & Mr. E: Yes, you can. Go on.
R: Cannot.
Ryan & Mr. E: Can...
R: ...Not... Help. I'm falling...
Ryan: Go on. Put your foot into the other tyre.
R: Stuck.. Can't move my legs... Help.. I'm falling.
Ryan: Hold on.
R: Can't... I'm falling. My left arm, tired. I'm falling!!!!
MR. E: I'll call for help..
R: FALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. E: SZE MING!!!!!!!!! Rachelle's Falling....

So, there you go... I FAILED on the tyres thingy.... It took quite some time before I regained my strength and finally, I decided to give it another try and I did it!!! (With a lil bit of help) Hehe... =p

So, there you go.. A brief account of my trip... =)

Today, I up with a sore body and lots of nice bruises on my elbows and knees. =) Haha... I walk like an old lady...
